I released my Gen 5 DTQ on the anniversary of the Japanese release date - which was almost half a year ago now. It's wild to think that's how much longer we had to wait for Pokemon games to release locally back in the day.

The setting for Champions is giving me huge Poketopia vibes from Battle Revolution, I love it.

Unless I missed something I don't think they mentioned ZA Home compatibility which is a shame, but 3/4 is pretty good.

Normally there's a brief adjustment period of "what is this creature" when they show a new starter linup but i'm immediately locked in on Pombom, fire starter always stays winning

Caved and bought some Black Bolt/White Flare packs after getting the itch at EUIC - part of me was hoping I wouldn't pull anything good and that'd put me off of buying any more, but I opened one pack today and pulled this. It might be over for me.

EUIC day 1 complete - watched a stellar opening ceremony performance, got to play a bit of Pokopia, traded a few cards/pins, saw some great cosplays and then helped out with events and transferring at the Pokemon Rescue. Looking forward to the retro challenge tomorrow!

Just wanted to add something to this since i also think Secret Bases are awesome. So i did some testing today and found out that unlike in Gen 3, when you battle someone in their Secret Base in ORAS, any shinies they use *will* be shiny in the battle! So bring some cool shinies to EUIC :D
