Buu really is the worst saga in Dragon Ball Z (the anime). I appreciate Toriyama going back to his roots (silly adventure) but not going back to his roots (pervert jokes). The tone is wildly uneven, with mass death and destruction combined with dumb slapstick and, again, pervert jokes.

I haven’t played any Yoko Taro stuff, but from what I’ve heard he makes interesting and unique stuff. I’m cautiously optimistic about a new Eva and what a different auteur can do with the franchise without Anno. And most importantly, Tsurumaki isn’t using Enokido scripts.
