3 months until my birthday already and it’s over Easter weekend HECK yeah!!

We need three day weekends. Friday night is the best part. Saturday is recovery from the week and night before, doing as little as possible. And Sunday is mostly spent dreading Monday nearing. There's no designated day for whimsy, frolicking, or exacting revenge on enemies of old.

Give yourself something to look forward to next year. Something less substantial than a resolution which can carry regret if you can't stick to it. Think of a book you want to read, a genre of music you'd like to learn more about, a curiosity to chase no matter how trivial. Keep your spark lit.

This is what I’m trying to remind myself of, and one of the reasons I feel like I struggle with getting myself to do art more. I always feel like everything has to be “finished”.

I don't know who needs to hear this but sometimes a sketch is just meant to be a sketch and not a finished piece. Not everything has to be a "finished" thing. Maybe the sketch IS the finished version of that thing. If you learned from it, took what you needed, it had its purpose fulfilled.
