In Talk 4 Writing we thought about the characters from the Little Jack story and used adjectives to describe them then we made our own characters for our new story!

We were so excited when we came into school this morning to see that our butterflies have come out of their chrysalis! We gave them some food and will release them this week 🐛 🦋

After learning what a passport is and why we need one we filled out important information about ourselves on the first page of our own passports. We are ready to travel ‘around the world’ tomorrow at our open afternoon. 🧳 ✈️ 🌍

We voted for our book of the month for May and we chose ‘A walk in Paris’ as our winner. “I liked seeing the Eiffel Tower because we’ve been learning about it.”🇫🇷 📖

We made some French menus for our cafe today! 🇫🇷 🍽️ 🧀 🥖 🍝

We loved having some P7s read to us in the library and then we read a book called ‘A walk in Paris’ where we recognised lots of landmarks 📚 📖 🇫🇷

We enjoyed exploring capacity, we had to count how many cupfuls of water different containers could hold. 🫙 🥣 💧

We learned about settings in Talk 4 Writing then we chose our own settings which we will use in our own stories next week! 🏠 🛝 🏙️ 🌉

Wr have loved playing in the new French cafe this week, some children even set up an extra table in the classroom it was so popular! 🇫🇷 ☕️ 🫖 🥐 😋

We loved playing common words bingo so much today that some people chose to play this by themselves!

Today has been all about butterflies! Some of us sequenced the story of the Very Hungry Caterpillar, some of us made symmetrical butterflies then we went out to the fairy garden and collected resources to make symmetrical butterflies back in the classroom 🦋 🐛

We made the Eiffel Tower today using art straws 🇫🇷 🖼️
