Antonine's got Talent = unreal afternoon! 📸🎤 We tried to take as many photos and videos as we could… but we were so busy dancing and singing! 🫣 Wow! So proud of our wonderfully talented pupils!

It was lovely spending time this afternoon with P2s. We completed some more of our novel "The Owl Who Was Afraid of the Dark'. After working on questioning, we created a Plop Barn Owl of our own using the tearing technique and different materials. Look how fab they are! @antomrsyoung.bsky.social

Thanks to the p7s today who delivered the Scottish Quiz to us today. We took part in teams and tried to earn more house points too.

We practised sorting vowels and consonants today.

Smiles all round today. Was lovely to see all the children having another fun-filled day.

Trip Science Centre

Wow, this wee video says it all! We had the best time on our 1st Antonine trip. Thanks to all our parent helpers for supporting the children today. It is very much appreciated 👏

We are off on our 1st big school trip. Science centre here we come!

P1 learned all about medieval castles today. We talked about how the music is very different from today. We then explored rhythm and beat and used some instruments to make our own castle music.

I wonder how....? 🤔 exactly the type of questions and enquiry we look for as children explore provocations.

We have loved PLAY areas today! We have been interested in science recently and mixing. The children enjoyed the potions station and some bubble painting too.

Great fun yesterday making our jam sandwiches to help us learn the importance of sequencing instructions in the correct order! Bonus-they were pretty tasty too!😜🍓🍞

This year we had a new addition to our Sports Day lineup… the relay race was BACK! 🏃‍♂️💨 Teamwork, speed, and plenty of cheering 🏆 Here are the winning teams from race 1 and race 2 for the P1-3 event.

"It's nearly 100". P1s enjoyed our 100 square bingo today. We used a 100 square to quickly find numbers by seeking out their patterns. A game always goes down well in Early Years!

This week in Clay Club we have started to make our pinch pots. We learned how to shape, pinch and turn our clay then used previous skills to decorate. Check out some creations. Next week on our last week, we will paint them and take them home.

Sports Day underway. The p1s are fast,fast,fast!

We made some paper cone pets this afternoon for our stall before our show and tell!

Yesterday, we discussed what a Fayre is. Then our buddies helped us design our bunting for our stall. We also enjoyed a buddy read outside in the 🌞.

Production has begun! Today we started to paint out Pebble Pets ready to sell at our summer fayre! Orders are already coming in-don’t miss out!😍

We celebrated our Gloabl Goal Learning by performing a short assembly all about GG15 life on Land. We sang a song to the school and explained our pledges to keep 🌎 Earth clean and tidy. Super effort p1s. Another confident performance 👏

Practising for our whole school Global Goal Celebration assembly tomorrow and checking in (observing) if our seeds are growing! We have enjoyed learning about ♻️, growing plants and Life on Land GG15. Next, we will explore a child interest topic - CASTLES!

Some wonderful train work today and a cool tunnel. I enjoyed time to play with the children today. Was lovely to see them communicating and playing together.

The Moons practised sh,ch or th writing today by turning picture cards to see which sound they contained. Was nice to see the group working as a team to support each other. Well done Moons. Keep practising writing ch, th or sh at home too!

We practised sharing equally today by dividing cube amounts with Mario and Luigi!

We completed our Global Goals headbands for our school assembly next week. We will tell all the classes about goal 15.

Clay club was brilliant! Miss Glass told us all about where clay comes from and why it is a great material for moulding and sculpting.First we are making a small model. Then we are building up skills to eventually create a pinch pot! Some children will even try a lid too.

Today we worked on CVC words, left and right and how to film slo-mo videos on the iPads! We had such a giggle watching these back!😂

This week we were learning about positional language including left and right. We also revised what we know about what plants need to grow and planted some seeds to look after! 🌱

Thanks to our wonderful buddies in p7 who created us a magnificent scavenger hunt all about recycling. This tied in nicely with us learning about Life on Land Global Goal 15. Ask us what recycle bin materials may go in. We can now help at home!
