This reflective acrylic sheet shows how 1980s illustrators were able to trace real-life objects on the computer. Once it was aligned, it reflected whatever was in front of it over the monitor's display, allowing artists to trace it in a tool like MacPaint or MS Paint. Simple, low tech and effective.

Beginner knitting question I can't find an answer to: If a pattern calls for 430 yards of yarn but I only have 420, will I actually run out? How accurate are these yarn estimates?? What if I used a smaller needle size? It's a scarf. My yarn is superwash which supposedly stretches a lot. 🥺

Yesterday I took my Switch out of the dock for the first time in about a month and it was HOT. It wanted to update, so I did that, then set it down for a couple hours. When I picked it up again it was STILL hot and battery drained to 60%. That is insane. An hour on airplane mode cooled it off.
