What’s happening in New Mexico is a perfect example of a low attention disaster…a 1-in-200 year event, multiple fatalities, thousands of structures damaged and very little national coverage.

NEW MEXICO VOTERS: Early in-person voting is open now through November 2 -- and you can same day register. I voted at the UNM Student Union Building this morning and it was quick and easy. And PACKED. Oh, and this year's "I VOTED" stickers were designed by New Mexico school kids. Adorable.

The YIMBY community in Albuquerque is showing up & getting loud. Last week our city council tried to hijack a proposal meant to raise the city's wages, by slashing the tipped minimum by more than $4/hr. Restaurant owners who supported the measure (Garcia's & Tomasita's) are now facing huge backlash.
