I thought I would bring some Christmas spirit to the chamber in City Hall today by highlighting the amazing charity St Raphael’s Hospice I think I got away with it! 😂🎅🏾

Rejoining Erasmus must be the first step on a clear roadmap to a closer relationship with Europe. We need to see the Government negotiate a bespoke UK-EU customs union, and commit to a youth mobility scheme for benefit of the next generation.

The Newham Community Project has done the most fantastic work within the delivery riders community to raise awareness of the dangers of fires from unsafe batteries and charging. I'm thrilled the Mayor is going to read their report & look at whether this model could work Londonwide.

We've got to do more to look after delivery riders in London, particularly when it comes to fire prevention. Really, really pleased the Mayor of London has today promised to look at innovative ideas in Manchester, New York and Newham to improve their rights, welfare and safety.

At last Labour see reason! Lib Dems fought for Erasmus for Londoners but Labour blocked us. Mayor then put it in his manifesto but did nothing. Thankfully Govt have acted. The lesson? Keep the pressure on Labour to repair our relationship with the EU. Eventually they'll catch up!

Horrified by the sickening terrorist attack in Bondi Beach. My prayers are with the families of those tragically killed. As Jewish communities come together to celebrate Hanukkah, we must stand together against violence and hate. Light will always triumph over darkness.

Reform is mired in scandals of racism, corruption and Russian interference. It's no wonder more and more people are turning to the positive voice of the Liberal Democrats as the antidote to this divisive politics.

London heroes like Solomon and the Brixton Soup Kitchen are doing an incredible job. But where is the support for struggling Londonders from the government? Labour have turned their backs on the city with the highest rate of poverty - I want to see London back on the Christmas list.

We must protect precious venues like Hackney's #MOTHclub & not allow poorly designed housing plans threaten its survival. But there are so many other threats to navigate. The industry is on its knees begging for help. What will it take for the Chancellor to listen and act?

When you've got victims waiting years and cases listed for 2030, that's not a backlog it's a crisis. Justice delayed is justice denied. But it's not just our courts that we need to fix - it's changes across the board to prevent crime and rehabilitate offenders. #politicslondon #londonlibdems

Disabled Londoners will tell you how challenging it is to find accessible housing. GLA data shows that the Mayor is missing his OWN targets. Today the Deputy Mayor of Housing is arguing with me that their own data is wrong! But still has NO answers on how to solve this crisis.
