Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom is getting major updates: new show scene, updated ride vehicles w/ handheld blasters and enhanced effects, and new character, “support-bot,” Buddy. The ride will close in August for updates and reopen in 2026.

Got the opportunity to ask and got confirmation that parts from Triceratops Spin will be refurbished and utilized for spinner rides around Walt Disney World. The triceratops RVs themselves are being preserved.
