2023 / 2025 #TheGameAwards

I've been looking forward to Exodus for a long time, but those gameplay graphics character models look rough.

Current dilemma

My year 2025 in podcasts. #AntennaPodEcho looks pretty similar to last year. I'm pretty happy about that.

I'm sure I'll play enough to top 700 hours, but I'm not upset by the decrease from last year's total (even with some of that being the kids playing). It's still a lot of time considering I retired from one job, started another and my spouse got a full time job as well.

Finally playing Kena: Bridge of Spirits. It's so delightfully wholesome and then - WHAM! Boss battle requiring perfection of the skill you just learned.

Best thing about the Macy's parade is the absolute chaotic combination of performances. Notorious B.I.G. while clowns are walking by? Sure. Busta Rhymes with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles? That actually fits. Toys R Us beatbox kids with Lil' John blasting Turn down for What? Pure America.

So I'm staring at my backlog of games. Some have been there for years (still looking at you, Demon's Soul) and some are more recent acquisitions (Kena, Returnal, Indiana Jones).

I made some red beans and rice from scratch today which I have never done before. Kids, who had never had it, asked what it was. I absolutely lost it when she described it as "Cajun beanie weenies". Which is absolutely true.

Finished Ghost of Yotei (aside from a few clean up tasks). It is a beautifully stable game that has great controls, gorgeous backdrop, and a well told, if predictable, story. I dropped it from Hard to Casual (because I don't have time to retry a dozen different movesets),
