If he really cared, in my opinion, he or a top-level staffer would have welcomed them into a conference room and listened to them. He could have come back after 6 and done it. That was the easier and better thing to do. This was abusive and an insulting power play attempt not worthy of our mayor.

Democratic theory and experiment have come a long way in the last 250 years. Single-member districts are terminally flawed and undermine the fundamental democratic notion of "one person, one vote" (states and municipalities can implement w/o constitutional amendments, even congressional districts!)

Multi member districts absolutely weakens the power of gerrymandering and strengthens democtatic representation....as proven in other countries throughout the world.

This is very much an MO for many politicians after the scary risky idea becomes popular,at least for those who don't have a compass or a rudder.
