This applies to the conversion therapy research I’ve been researching. Conversion therapists have been seemingly increasingly labeling their practice as secular - at least in the west/United States - and studying queer sexuality/gender identity as sourced by trauma and misplaced masculinity*. /1

Muslims will talk about how this wrong, that being queer isn’t Haraam, acting on it is. Except you can’t have a religious basis for condemning a categorization of the human condition while claiming we shouldn’t be harmed. Simple readings of history will show that it’s all dehumanization. /1
