One weakness of #philosophy is its wide-open nature, and general lack of testability. As pre-science, it helps form & inform theories and problem solving. But just like #science, when done wrong it can take us far in the wrong direction. Both require better questions to get back on track.

Moreover, labelling (unintentionally?) liberation theology as Marxist is wildly inaccurate. Sadly, it is very often done by social scientists, religious scholars with little to no knowledge about liberation theology and no theological competence. These 'imprecisions' are then repeated in the media😭

This is one of those things that’s selectively true, and as a result it ends up being weaponized. Technically, the Bible says ‘and you shall know they are Christians by their fruit.’ So when someone you don’t like ‘’’sins’’’, it’s easy to say ‘if you were saved you wouldn’t act like this.’
