for me, i dont really care because im most likely never going to change my username, gayfamicom is a fantastic username that im probs never going to change, been using it for a good 5 years now

did:plc is a random string of 24 characters, but its hosted by Bluesky Social PBC so u are relying on them, u dont have full control over it, even on a third party PDS. now, there *are* some cons to using did:web.. like since u can't change ur did, u have to rely on keeping ur domain forever

why am i moving accounts? to put it simply, Bluesky Social PBC evil. i'm not moving accounts specifically because "i want to" but a more technical reason. i'm on did:web, meaning that my identity is tied to a domain name that i own and is hosted by me, most of y'all are on did:plc.
