First Post of the year. I did this artwork early last year when I got tired of making more isometric rooms. I love the sea and I always enjoy making scenes with water, so creating a fishing scene was really fun. It turned out well enough, tho I didn't do too well with the lighting here I think~

A little char design thread: I haven't gotten to do much character design in my career so far, so it was quite fun to get to design a bunch of the NPCs who call Spirit Crossing home. One thing you learn is that sometimes after 20 different hairstyles, your original plan was not too bad after all

I learned about Krita's wrap around mode & G'MIC-Qt to make tileable ground textures while doing my UE render. What a great feature, I rarely use Krita because I'm comfortable with Procreate but I think I need to try using Krita more XD

Less destructive way to paint on a mesh with Ucupaint (Blender). You can change the colors after you're done with your painting, like in Substance Painter. Usually, I will paint on an Image layer, but this time I tried to paint on a 'Solid Color with Image Mask' layer! #blender3d #ucupaint #b3d

Just running two screenshots through procreate. Multiply with increased Saturation and slightly increased brightness on the left. Just a color dodge on the right. Random Wow image I found online for comparison of coloring. You’re literally right there, all the colors are in there.

My first trimsheet, structurally inaccurate lego blocks & weird colors but I'll take it for now XD. All done in Blender (4.2/4.5) & Ucupaint.

So it's a bit hard, but it's doable, model in 4.5, export to 4.2 for Grabdoc, texture in 4.5. I just need to practice texturing. Also, I need to try doing this in Substance Painter.

What's funny is that I was doing completely different things before getting into 3D. I was not even aware of Blender until I got my 3D printer in 2023.
