As a book: I enjoyed the author’s attempt to solve one of the treasure hunts over Zoom, I immediately spotted the key to solving the Murder Game, and Aaron and I enjoyed cameo appearances by Sid Sackson and Geoff Engelstein. The cryptic crossword section was not my cup of tea but it’s a fine book.

Earlier today I finished my 175th book of 2025. I don’t want to alarm anyone, but I have 75 books on the TBR for specific months in 2026 (mainly Newbery project books but also new releases). And 45 books from my own collection. And 8 books (so far!) that don’t fall into any of the categories above.

THIS GAME IS COMPLETE Genuinely can’t remember the last time I put this much time into a game that wasn’t Animal Crossing or a casual puzzle game. This game is still REALLY good. I thought maybe I was elevating it unfairly based on nostalgia but no, this is still in my very top handful of games.
