I despise Ann Rivers. She was an awful politician, and she's now an despicable timber industry lobbyist. Genuinely one of the worst people in the state of Washington.

Timber lobbyists are the lowest form of life. A load of lying bastards, one and all. It's more than a little suspicious that the same few timber lobbyists are always "randomly" selected to speak at board of natural resource meetings each month.

Update on this: DNR has moved the timber sale presentation to a BNR meeting on March 16th at 1PM, likely due to a recent court decision. It is likely that the agency is scrambling to find a loophole to sidestep that court order.

Looking through old letters my mother wrote 20 years ago, I realize just how much wildlife populations have declined in the area in the last few decades. The fact is that Washington’s ecosystems are declining at a precipitous pace, and no meaningful action is being taken to halt the collapse.

This rosemary plant will one day be sculpted into a beautiful bonsai tree. It already looks nice in a bonsai pot with moss and stones!
