Every New Years and every 4th of July, the local missing pets groups on social media fill up with panicked people whose dogs and cats have fled in fear of fireworks. Thankfully many are found safe and sound, but many are not. Is all this pain and loss worth the fleeting fun of a few fireworks?

I'm shocked, "Wake Up Dead Man" is actually really good. After "Glass Onion" I'd given up all hope in the Knives Out series, but this latest film was a genuinely excellent murder mystery.

I hate fireworks at New Years. It's so hard on wildlife during the lean winter months. It also freaks out pets. Not as bad as the 4th, but fireworks remain a menace, and they should be constrained to professional displays.
