Google scholar is now broken for good because people use AI-generated, non-existent references. As someone who will go to great lengths to hunt down the original 19th century grammar to cross-check an example cited in later literature, this just adds to my general disappointment in humankind, tbh

I have reached the point in grant-writing when I am seriously considering devoting my career to advocating for the One Reference Style to Rule Them All Theory.

Some of my favourite foods and recipes have come from friends. I first had chicken and sweetcorn soup at my best friend's house when I was like 12, a Spanish friend taught me to make tortilla when we both briefly lived in Prague, and most recently my adobo fixation c/o @elainagmamaril.bsky.social 🥰

I was just told single-anonymous reviewing, where the reviewer knows who the author is but not the other way around, is a thing. Is this true? This would be so counterproductive.

I lost my phone on the bus and tracked it to the bus depot. The company couldn't find it and has closed my claim. I guess it is stuck in Bus Limbo.
