Business cards and table runner arrived!

Daffodil is assembled! Minimal warping, only minor gaps between the parts and the details came out phenomenal. Extremely pleased with this, even Skadi thinks it‘s good (I think she might want to eat it though)! Three more printed overnight and from what I could see so far, all is good there too!

My wrist would like to issue a formal complaint. Yes, I am hand carving each scale individually because I, too, am a servant to my autism. I don't even want to spend too much thought on the fact that I will then be going over most of these again for detailing and contrast. Sheesh.

In case you are wondering: this is how I punish myself for my hubris. Every single scale hand drawn because it simply gives me the best flow to their layout. And they will get a second pass for details and structure. My hands hate me. :D

Keychains arrived! They look so much better than I thought, aaah! Also made a presentation board for them (quickly whipped up and printed at home because of time and energy). Printer was being a bit doofy and made weird gradients towards the sides but I'm leaving it for now. Thoughts? :)

Had friends over today for community ramen as a kind of after-birthday thing. Social battery drained and some tech issues that kept me occupied later, I decided to throw out a sketch to get at least some drawing done today. Is this kind of like journaling?

In preparation for the upcoming conventions (looking at you, Wels Comic Con), I have begun the process of creating small illustrations for stickers and acrylic keychains (a process I am as of yet unfamiliar with and want to get proficient at handling). Dangling Spinosaurus, anyone?

I think the biggest damage to the art community was the obsolescence of gallery sites (y!, deviantart, etc) and the rise of scroll-by social media, like twitter and even tumblr. Art is not ''content'', you shouldnt need to post art every day (or every month!) to be relevant. This mindset sucks.
