Actually… Carl Linnaeus, the Father of Taxonomy, named us Homo sapiens in Systema Naturae (1735). He later realized that lumping all of humanity into 1 category was an oversimplification & he described as many as 6 subspecies of humans defined by, among other things, political ideology

& systems of government. Mapping the human genome has allowed us to identify many of the genes that determine our behaviors & shape our beliefs. It seems very plausible to me that differences in our genomes explain the vast differences we are seeing between Deplorable Americans and Decent Americans
