Just learned that Tim Kask had passed. A couple years back I wrote him trying to track down the author of a scenario from his Adventure Gaming magazine. When i asked how I might thank him, he suggested “buy me a sandwich or something”. Not sure who the sandwich rights go to now… :(

I joined Yog-Sothoth in, I think, the fall of 1998. For many years I was also a moderator there. I am proud of the community we formed there, of our stewardship of Call of Cthulhu at its lowest ebb as a game, and grateful for the many friendships formed. I am also terribly, terribly sad.

The index for the Folk Art Museum’s gravestone castings collection IDs this figure as a “rooster” on the gravestone of Leonard Chester, d. 1648 in Wethersfield CT. Not sure I’m buying that but will definitely repurpose in our Bestiary project…
