these days a show gets picked up for a new season after a year+ has passed and the crew has scattered. Seasons used to be 20-40 episodes, and you'd likely get a pickup while you were still working and stay on the show. This constant scramble in and out of short gigs is destroying the industry.

It didn't strike me till now but why did star vs lean onto a romantic route with star and marco, that dude was giving her a home. You can easily just stick with a sibling dynamic and make the stakes be center around the idea of leaving permanently
