Anyone shocked that Reform plan to deport immigrants with Indefinite Leave to Remain hasn’t been paying attention. Next it will be stripping citizenship from dual citizens, then deporting them. Who do you think Reform are? This. This is who they are.

Wales needs to vote for a party that will stick up for Wales. Reform are a private company run by wealthy English gits who've only ever been to Wales on holiday & Labour has shown that they're controlled by English Labour, so why not vote for Plaid?

Piastri will be relieved that Norris has only closed to within a race win's worth of points. Norris will be worried that his championship now relies on qualifying well.

I just know the Germans have come up with a really long complicated word for the feeling of having had a really good day yet coming home and feeling a little bit down in the dumps. Regardless, the cure is to watch Citation Needed again. In order. From the beginning. It always is.

One thing we learned from Corbyn's leadership of Labour is that he is a preternaturally useless leader. And he surrounds himself with people of similar skills. "Couldnae manage a minoge" as my older relatives would say.

My brain has decided that tonight is a good night to go through all the trip bookings and reservations I have made for this winter to make sure they're correct. Even though they are, because it's the same fastidious ADHD-addled brain that made said arrangements to begin with. Thanks brain.

For those unaware: - the UK *did* have double decker trains (ish) once - they ran successfully in service for several years - you had to be hermetically sealed in and thus no smoking and your face was in line with someone else's smelly feet - a survivor is being restored

Mattress is fecked. Waking up every morning with dull aches in the joints. So as a short term solution I've put a mattress topper underneath it and a mattress protector on top of it and it's amazing just how firm it now is. That's pushed that expense down the road a few months.

Starmer is starting to put me in mind of Neville Chamberlain…not necessarily as weak or as bad as he sometimes appears to be, but absolutely the wrong person to be in charge at what feels like a key moment.

Today I *should* find out if I have been granted leave for Christmas to spend it in Sweden, a dream previously dashed by COVID. Appropriately it is 50 days until my next Danish/Swedish trip and 100 days until the pencilled in date for flying out.

But he's dodged that quite successfully. The tories took ownership and then lost, Labour did too with 'make brexit work' and look likely to lose. All 3 (Labour, tories & reform) want brexit and all 3 say they can make it work. Only Nige hasn't had the chance to actually fail to make it work yet.

Labour should have been calling out Brexit AND the vile rhetoric of RFUK. But they didn't. Instead, they are determined to try and appease this evil, and I'll never forgive them for it.

Having missed out on my free SJ breakfast, I’ve instead stocked myself up from the Pressbyrån on Sundsvall station, an institution whose founding principle seems to be: ‘What if WHSmiths on stations were - and hear me out before you completely dismiss the idea, guys - good.’
