Unless there is an exceptionally good reason for not doing it, art placeholders should always look like placeholders. The goofier, the better. 😁 #Blasphemous

Any use of genAI always reads to me like: “We just used a little bit of shit in our cake because we couldn’t afford chocolate.”

Placeholder assets in a game should look obnoxiously temporary, so obvious that no one would mistake it for the final asset. In past games we've used the doge dog (rip) as an icon, hot pink versions of characters, our CEO's head, etc. If you use a temp asset that seems passable, it may stay there.

So DLSS is just an AI filter that is meant to be only for light but kills all volumetric, changes colors, fully redoes the faces of characters, kills details, and makes the movement uncanny at its best? Cause the video from Nvidia is pretty much them coping.
