Very sad what this country has become. Maybe the worst part is this is exactly what the Republican Party said they were going to do and most people supported it or at least couldn’t be bothered to reject it. So, I don’t see how this isn’t just the present but also the future.

When ICE/CBP agents murder people on video in front of numerous witnesses and state and local Democrats dont immediately get arrest warrants and file murder charges, Democrats are telling ICE in the strongest possible terms they can and should continue killing people

All of the local and state officials who could do something about these murders are Democrats. If arrest warrants aren’t obtained for these ICE agents immediately, Democrats might as well publicly come out and endorse these murders and encourage ICE to do more. Maybe Dems can make a game of it.

People get mad that I blame Democrats for this but only one thing works for shit like this - accountability. Asking Republicans to stop and saying pretty please isn’t going to cut it. Today’s Democratic Party is too weak, soft, complacent, apathetic and opportunistic to do what needs to be done.

This is a good point and illustrates how immigration used to work. It wasn’t perfect but it made some sense. First, do immigrants commit a lot of serious crimes? Definitely not. But some do and they need to be deported. How do we do that? INS and later ICE agents would basically monitor the jails
