23 organizations across Washington receive funding from a state grant program for diaper banks, which provide diapers, wipes & other essentials to low-income families. On June 30, Seattle’s new rules for neighborhood zoning will take effect, allowing 4 to 6 units of housing on single-family lots. The hope is that the duplexes, cottage apartments and other “missing” housing types allowed by the rezone will cost less to buy and rent than single-family homes.
