definitely. it's when new KS promise more and updates (or lack of) on previous ones make it clear where the funding is actually going. caveat emptor obviously

I mean using a new project to finish up paying for past ones - running multiple campaigns that each work on their own merits is fine. I also blame the fake low funding targets that mask the real costs - especially on large, long projects.

absolutely. not nearly enough space here to go into details but I've experienced this directly via our work on Cthulhu Wars and others and I'm not the only creative to have done so by any measure

Serial crowdfunding is not a sustainable business model but also precludes gaining any kind of real retail presence.

I feel this, having overrun by a out a year on a few pledges on an older KS myself. but every completed pledge was fulfilled, and every KS since has been early. stuff happens, obviously and its especially tough when you're a sole creator, but taking £££ and then ignoring backers is just psychopathic

I've got a great Fighting Fantasy collection and I'm really proud of it - I got my first book The Citadel of Chaos signed by Steve, Ian and Russ and I use my copy of Titan as a mass signature book. I'm hoping to get it topped up at Dragonmeet this year. I've still got lots of plans to write more!

I went on to create a version of the basic Fighting Fantasy game as it was first presented in the Introductory Book by Steve Jackson. One day I'll do something with it. Fighting Fantasy will always have a special place in my heart, and I'd love to see it move forward in new mediums.

... of not only writing for the world of Fighting Fantasy but also drawing for it. I went on to write several more adventures as well as supply six pieces of art for 'Demons of Doom', which put me in a book with artists that I'd grown up with and considered heroes. It was an amazing moment.

The game that gave me my break into TTRPG game design was Advanced #FightingFantasy from @ariongames.bsky.social . First I co-wrote 'Stellar Adventures', the sci-fi version of the game, and then went on to write and illustrate 'The Floating Dungeon of Varrak Aslur', fulfilling a childhood dream...

If they only knew how to zoom in, they might just be able to make out the red poppy too....
