How to Debunk Republicans’ Shutdown Talking Points

When people lose health coverage, hospitals and nursing homes are forced to raise prices for everyone else. I am ready to back a budget that prevents a health care crisis. Republicans need to come to the table to fix this health care mess and avert a government shutdown now.

As

has long argued, the main problem facing American democracy is not "polarization" so much as it is the right wing radicalization of the GOP against democracy. Klein understands this, but he seems hesitant to take it on board.

Republicans run the White House, Congress and Supreme Court on the principle that the only role Dems can play is bailing the GOP out from facing the consequences of their own actions. They expect Dems to clean up after them and save them from voters’ blame, and sadly some Dems want to do just that.

Can we get some focus on the perfidy of Speaker Mike Johnson? So much of Trump’s excesses are made possible because Johnson has disabled the House as a check on the President. He has handed Trump his gavel symbolically and in reality. We need to focus on Trump’s enablers.
