New #uksnow app update is out, which includes the Outlook tab which shows the chance of snow in your location for the next 7 days ❄️

Working on a #uksnow forecast feature for the app. The idea is to simplify a number of contributing snow factors down to a single "snow-chance" number (out of 10, obviously!) without getting too bogged down in the detail.

Next app update - added a label when there’s no mapped reports to make that clearer, and added a better photo viewer so you can swipe between photos. In review with Apple and Google now, should be released in the next few days. #uksnow

So this is something I’ve been considering for a while, would be interested to see what everyone thinks… Should the @uksnowmap app have an in-app snow reporting option? This would mean you don’t need to send a #uksnow post on Bluesky / X for it to show up on the map… Thoughts?

Made a couple of tweaks to the way #uksnow reports are pulled in this evening. Images are now being imported correctly again, and there's a duplicate detection system that hopefully means anyone cross-posting over different platforms will only have their first post pulled in.
