Today is the birthday of writer & editor Len Wein (June 12, 1948-Sept. 10, 2017). He cocreated Swamp Thing, Wolverine, & most of the new X-Men when he helped revive the team in 1975, and wrote virtually every major hero at Marvel & DC at some point.

Been amassing Epic Collections from my early reading years. The newsprint was not all that great to begin with but has also degraded over the decades. The new stuff kept the line work and the colors are faithful as originally published. They look like the original comics, just refreshed.

After the new CONAN THE BARBARIAN series launched at Titan, artist Rob de la Torre gifted me a splash page from #3 and I purchased three pages of art from #2. As you'd imagine, having this art in my collection means a lot to me. They're a milestone on this amazing adventure I get to be part of.
