Over 80% of Labour Party members and two-thirds of trade union memberships want to ditch First Past The Post for Fair Elections in which voters' votes all count equally. So what's holding the government back? Answer: Greed for outright power and hubris that they can win again!

Britain's First Past The Post makes a mockery of 'one person, one vote' because our votes are grotesquely unequal, giving us a parliament that misrepresents how we all voted. It's why our politics are broken.

Just like Mayors shouldn’t be elected by a small minority, neither should MPs - or governments. If we stick with FPTP, in four years we risk being ruled by a government chosen by less than a third of voters. FPTP is not a suitable system for any elections - local or general.
