Jazz 0.13.20 released - with significant sync and rendering perf improvements We have been focusing on performance and stability over the last month, polishing our internals, sync protocol, and subscription engine.

Security is the most subtle challenge in full-stack apps. Many devs still re-invent the wheel, building access control with low-level tools like RLS (or worse, ad-hoc backend code) 😱 The security design of @jazz.tools is a godsend for vibe coders (and experienced devs!) 🧵

Jazz is not about the code you write, it’s about the code you don’t write

One of the most interesting new web app libraries is @jazz.tools, which makes it super easy to sync collaborative multi-user state between a bunch of clients while managing user/group ownership and permissions as well. See jazz.tools and jazz.tools/examples.

@jazz.tools has made working on this an absolute delight. As a designer who spends months working off of local JSON to put off backend wiring ... Jazz lets me do just that. Treat data as state, and it handles sync and storage and whatnot. Amazing!

people often ask me if @jazz.tools is “backend-as-a-service” I’d say it’s “no-backend as-a-service” 😏 in the same cheeky way that “serverless” ofc still has servers — it’s not a “managed” traditional backend — it’s giving you a completely different abstraction to work with
