It’s never lost on me that NWSL pays for PRO2 level referees because they can’t/won’t pay for the PRO level and at some point, all the owners in the league are going to need to talk about that if they want to be serious

This is something that is fairly easily fixed with money. NWSL chooses to use PRO2 referees. It's telling that owners are cool with investing in nice stadiums because of the real estate play they get along with it, but paying a marginal % of that to improve play on the field is a bridge too far.

I am begging my fellow Dems to emerge from the reflexive “it’s a trap” position on these issues and realize that some things are very simple: the public doesn’t like the federal government turning the military against its own citizens.The public doesn’t like the armed occupation of a city.Period.

I was on a federal grand jury in DC for a year, and we approved probably 100 indictments in that time. We advanced every case presented to us - with thoughtfulness and sometimes debate - because they were all lawful and reasoned. Three failures is extraordinary.

Utterly absurd. I hope every single person outside of DC understands that.
