While in London for energy discussions, I caught the fantastic Kyoto play @sohoplace particularly good for energy, climate multilateral nerds like me, but think it would be funny and thoughtprovoking for most.

This is a great play. In ’97 I was BBC Environment Correspondent & was right beside Japanese PM Hashimoto as he welcomed Al Gore with this: “It would be going much better if not for you”. He didn't know we were filming. Gore’s grin went rictus. All on camera. seatplan.com/london/kyoto...

If you’d told me that an ensemble play about <checks notes> the climate change talks in the 90s would make me laugh, cry + eventually root for John Prescott, I’d have laughed in derision. Yet here we are. Kyoto at @sohoplace. Totally engrossing, funny, cynical, slick, + so cleverly staged. Bravo.
