I've been a knitter on-and-off for about 30 years (started early). The more I look into the internet world of knitters, the more I realize that my mom's techniques don't fit into either English nor continental style. Instead, they seem a method developed by a family tree of people with arthritis.

We had friends over, so I missed out on being on the internet since Thursday. We played board games instead, for three days straight. Highly recommended. Arcs is really good. Flux is a mayhem. Root is everyone's favorite. Thorgal works great for 4 players, even if we lose the scenario.

Today marks the 20-year anniversary of my realization that my family's recipe for a tomato soup is not... standard. In celebration, I made myself a pot of ***thick*** tomato soup with both rice and potatoes, and my stomach and soul are both happily full of starch. Nothing can beat this.
