The last time my weight was this low (106.6kg/235lb) was six years ago. That was the year I came off my mountain bike and was housebound for the six months leading up to lockdown. Weight found me very easily after that.

I don’t know how I didn’t end up playing Return of the Obra Dinn sooner, but having now done so, I’m happy to say it is one of the finest games I’ve ever played… the entire house was captivated and deeply invested in unpicking the whole tangled story.

My weight journey from 2025.

With careful planning and months of help from the GP and clinical pharmacist, I’ve slowly weaned off my anti-anxiety medication. Final dose was yesterday lunchtime. I’ve been on it for 2.5 years and it helped so much, but I finally feel ready to properly feel my emotions again!

Sometimes I see words that could be nonsense I’d say, but not only did someone else come up with them, but they’re written on actual product packaging. The words “hydrating hair pudding” is one of those occasions.

Not much weight shifted this week, seems my excellent 12-week run has hit a plateau. This is normal and I’m not discouraged. Some numbers: Started at 134.8kg (297lb), 41.3% body fat, 41.5 BMI. Now at 117.4kg (253lb), 37.7% body fat, 36.2 BMI. Weekly average change: -1.3kg (2.9lb).
