Yeah, okay.. 9 hours in I can say that this game is gonna be fun to play. And the soundscape is so good! Streaming it from my laptop in the office to the little mini-pc hooked up to the livingroom tv, using a controller to play works like a charm! <3

Just a hint of snow in The Netherlands earlier today.. An absolute snowfest on the highway. 50km further it was sunny and roads were clear. Weird weather. :) Passenger @woosk.bsky.social was filming.

Spending the last week chilling in Oslo is exactly what I needed. Chatting with friends, dogwalks, good food.. Just having a slow good time to recharge batteries. <3

“You too” is a very normal reply in most cases. Not when the people at the airport gate wish you a happy flight. I derp’d. The “Hah, I wish..” from him made up for it. :P

Finished the game! Thoroughly enjoyable! Glad I chose to do that. Good storyline. I can see why this was a bit of a gamechanger back in 2011.

Gonna be live on Dutch radio this afternoon! Radio 2 asked people to send in memories of music artists. I sent in my memory of the band Skik, with their song ‘Op Fietse’. A song still very dear to me cause they recorded part of the clip on my parents’ farm when I was 11. Grandpa is in it too. <3

The photography course yesterday evening had random little assignments. Including drop photography. Chasing that perfect little moment..

Been lowering my coffee intake since two weeks. From four or five cups a day down to just one in the morning and (low caffeine) tea the rest of the day. Got the feeling I have a steadier energy during the day. That and I drink more water due to the amount of tea. Good.. Good good good! :D

Another batch of raspberries, vodka and sugar that’ll undergo the “shake daily for 8 weeks” transformation into a raspberry liquor. Hopefully a delicious one! <3

I love the 3D print community. Someone figured out part A (the ikea skadis pegboard) almost fits part B (the ikea ivar closet), designs a part for it and puts it online. I download and print it and upgrade my workspace. Great! <3

Just finished playing Portal! What a weird and fun game that was.. :D I don’t really game much, easily getting motion sick from games.. But figured I needed to go through a classic like that at least. Definitely enjoyed it in all its short weirdness!

Lucky catch in the photo is the Andromeda nebula showing itself very faintly. Cool catch for a half assed first try, if I say so myself. :)

Looked at astrophotography a little bit this weekend. Man, that's a thing and a half.. So much to find out and learn about for just one photo. But there's a vaguely visible andromeda galaxy visible top right, so I'm happy!

Oh heck yeah, new single's out by Karnivool! <3 And release date of their new album is known! 6th of february 2026.. Finally new material! Possibly new european tour too? One can hope!

How do you explain meeting people (furs) with similar interests (the furry fandom) in different countries over the years, without mentioning the furry fandom… Especially when talking to colleagues. I often throw it on a similar maker mentality interest, but feel that doesn’t quite hit the spot.

Went out onto a watchtower in the middle of nowhere together with @xil.monster yesterday evening after sunset, to see the Perseides meteor shower. Quick burning streaks through the sky… Of which we saw several! <3 And a lovely red rising moon too!

Managed to (barely) receive the tower-airplane communication of the local airport 6km away with my RTLSDR stick. First you hear the tower, then the plane replying. Geeky fun stuff! (might be a bit loud due to static noise..)

The first 100 grams is a fact! Here’s hoping to much more grams, so I can make lots of raspberry liquor this year..

Dipping a toe into SDR (software defined radio) just slightly, out of curiousity. Checked out the 433MHz band yesterday and saw a sensor send out temp and humidity. High levels of “no idea what I am doing” but fun to learn about stuff like this at a slow pace.

This year’s harvest begins..
