Another great meeting recent with the APPG on Azerbaijan - discussing how develop our two countries' relationship!✅️

Constituents have told me that they're worried about changes to the immigration system. Immigration reform cannot leave people behind. I took these concerns to the Minister for Border Security and Asylum. I explained that any changes to immigration must always be fair to the people in the system.

Leaders and Members of Reform UK have repeatedly villainised Muslims - using Muslims as scapegoats for the UK's problems. I've written to the Equality and Human Rights Commission to ask them to investigate whether they've broken their obligations to not incite discrimination under the Equality Act.

Hospitals in Gaza have been systematically destroyed - over 4,000 children need evacuating for medical treatment now. I joined over 100 MPs calling on the government to urgently step up evacuation efforts, especially for children. The UK has the medical expertise and moral obligation to do more.

Reform UK have spent the past year weaponising women's safety purely to push a racist narrative that people born outside the UK are a threat to women's safety. Now they're trying to get a man elected whose views are actually a danger to every women in the UK. Absolutely shameful.

We need a social rent revolution! I went to hear about Manchester Social Housing Commission's report that lays out how we could increase our social housing stock by 90,000 a year! With Labour's Renters' Rights Act, this would transform renting in Manchester, making it cheaper, easier, and greener.

The allegations against Channel 4's Married at First Sight are deeply troubling and show that there's been a lack of care toward participants and safeguarding procedures. I've signed a letter to Channel 4 calling for them to cooperate with investigations and to launch a review into their procedures.

Umm al-Khair in the occupied West Bank is crying out to the international community for help and protection. I've joined other MPs to call for the UK publicly oppose any demolition of Umm al-Khair and to protect the lives and livelihoods of the people who live there.

The Chancellor's move to cut VAT on summer activities and children's meals will bring costs down for hard working families over the summer. With uncertainty across the globe, now more than ever families deserve to be able to enjoy their summer holidays. This cut does exactly that.

This week is Knife Crime Awareness Week - a week dedicated to remembering victims of knife crime and to highlighting the ways we know are effective at preventing it. I've worked with so many amazing constituents and organisations to tackle knife crime. Thank you to everyone I've worked with.

It's unbelievable that the Tories let water bosses take bonuses whilst polluting our waterways.💧 Labour has stopped this - and we've blocked over £4 million in bonuses thanks to our Water (Special Measures) Act.🚰

The UK's paternity leave is one of the shortest in all of Europe - this needs to change.👨‍🍼 I was proud to speak at the push for paternity leave in my constituency with Walking Mums Club and Pregnant and Protected, advocating for better conditions for new families.✅️

As many as 38 businesses every day shut down because businesses are being paid late - costing the UK economy as much as £11 billion a year.🪙 That's why Labour is clamping down on late payments and making sure you get paid on time.💷

Recently I voted for Labour to give power back to England's regions, let local communities protect their valued spaces, and to let local authorities ban dangerous pavement parking. I look forward to working with the local authority on this important issue!🌹🏦🚗
