Working with 2020 Census data for some of my work today, and the age distribution shifts in Allegheny County (Pittsburgh area) are striking. From 2000, overall pop. slightly down (-2.4%) - but an 18.1% decline in the number of children (ages 0-17) and a 6.3% increase in the number of seniors (65+).
