I’m not sure Allen Walsh is the most reliable source here but… in a battle between Manfred and Harper I *am* sure who would end up in the ditch.

My sort of out there theory is that geography can be genetically encoded & passed down. Which was probably an evolutionary trait from when we were hunter and gatherers. And would explain why a place we’ve never been but where our parents or grandparents grew up can feel so familiar.

One of the elements of this World Series I really enjoyed was how the starting pitchers were used interchangeably as starters and relievers. Having said that Bassitt ended up being so good out of the bullpen. Do you think he tries to stay a starter or transitions to long reliever?

Reminder to baseball fans: it's not your money. You gain nothing by your team cutting salary every year and attempting to get the sixth wild card by the slimmest margin possible. You don't have to defend these people, who are pocketing $$$ in real estate deals while using the other hand to cry poor.

It’s OK to cry about a baseball team, and, in the end, this was the final gift the 2025 Toronto Blue Jays gave to us: the ability to let go, writes Star contributor Dave Bidini.
