I did not mince my words in my email to CDFW! And they’ll be hearing from me a lot. I’m fed up with the way they neglect to hold people accountable and just go to the “kill the bears” instead. It’s just a convenient solution which doesn’t address the root problem - humans. Yes, I’m pissed off!

We went for a hike today. Started out with our Troy, and encountered Camper - a young male chocolate lab on the trails. Luckily he had a tag with his owner’s number so we got in touch. Hiked with them both for a while and at the end returned Camper to his owner. Made us all miss our Zeke 💙

Hiking Mount Rose in Nevada. We, humans, did about 6.5 miles while Troy probably got at least 10 miles in. Lovely day with fantastic views. Hiking and nature keep me sane! Every day!

When the overnight temperature in Tahoe dips below 40F, and I am opening the first bottle of red wine instead of white, that's when I know that Autumn is on the way!

Cabbage salad with apple, avocado and toasted pinenuts. Dressing made with cucumber, avocado, lemon juice and zest and a little mustard. We ended up adding some shredded Irish cheddar on the plate after I took the photos.

I usually make egg salad but today I did an avocado sourdough toast with grated hard boiled egg and chives.

Cone cabbage salad. Don’t let the “boring” look deceive you cuz it’s all in the dressing which is wicked. Evoo, lemon, Parmesan and loads of garlic. Make sure whoever you sleep with or next to also has eaten some because your breath will be very strong 😂 My youngest sister introduced me to this 😉

This soup was amazing!!! So simple. I added crumbled blue cheese, and served with warm rosemary focaccia to dip in soup!
