FB food memories: before there were “smash burgers” there were burgers you’d have to smash before attempting to eat them (this is mine). I prefer the actual smash burgers like this one.

If you like bbq and are ever in Austin Texas this place is def worth a visit. Elevated bbq. It was the second to last of 9 bbq places stop for me on a bbq tour a set up for myself there. Hung out with the pitmasters for awhile

Pan seared pork chop, buttery Yukon gold mash, string beans dressed with butter and shallots. Easy weeknight dinner.

FB food memories: there’s a pan roasted pork chop somewhere under those sautéed onions.

“Veal” Parmesan. Veal’s in quotes cuz it was made with pork loin cuts, butterflied, pounded thin and treated like the classic recipe. It truly tasted like veal, which I don’t really enjoy. The veggie-loaded sauce was made with San Marzano tomatoes of which I’ve become a huge fan! Totally good meal.

Thawed out a Sous vide rib eye while walking the dogs. Trying these cute mini potatoes steamed in this funny looking but useful steamer. Potato’s topped with sheep/goat cheese and olive oil. So pretty before mixing. So tasty after. Spinach onion balsamic walnut cranberry goat cheese salad.

Smashburger with applewood smoked cheddar, crispy prosciutto and jalapeños.🍽🍜

Extremely random impulse grocery store purchases 🤯🥳😆. I’ve got coffee mugs from travels around the world and some from artisans on Etsy etc but I guess I needed to add a sponge bob square pants and a sonic the hedgehog to the collection 😅🤓🤷‍♂️

Lunch today, hamburgers, plain for the brother, buffalo style for me, I stuffed the patty with Gorgonzola cheese and loaded the bun with buffalo wing sauce, blue cheese dressing, heirloom tomato and onion…

Dinner, ribeye steak (cut from a rib roast that was on sale last Christmas), baked potatoes and broccolini….

So we never had tuna noodle casserole when I was a kid (my dad didn’t like tuna fish). I know it gets a bad rap but I always felt left out 😂. This, however, was deeeelicious. Worth the wait.

Some pasta with clams, dandelion greens, and red chile. Used the recipe in the 3rd pic as inspiration. Was really delicious. Perfect weeknight meal.

Dolmades happening

I made tacos with kimchi again this week. But this time I made 2 important tweaks. Last night’s kimchi came from my favorite restaurant, Zen Kitchen and Bar in New Port Richey. That’s a huge upgrade 🤩 I also went with teriyaki sauce to upgrade the flavor of the protein 😋
