Haven't played most of the new routes in Mario Kart World yet but I really appreciate that they were designed. Like, at all. The base game routes are mostly repurposed free roam roads which are varying degrees of boring. But these are like... actually intentionally designed. Incredible.

Not to be a downer, but the new Mario Kart World update confirms to me that the game released unfinished. It also confirms that not much love and care was put into the design of the intermission courses since they'll happily just fully change them into something completely different on a whim.

updated city trial thoughts this mode rules when you know the stadium from the start. it turns from aimless driving to actually having a big goal to work towards and it's very fun

kirby air riders early impressions the game is pretty good, but the insistance on the weird control scheme with very few options to change it is letting the game down a lot. the game wants to be chaotic and crazy (like in city trial) but the weird controls make it too common to do the wrong action

was very humiliated the other day when i assumed "elite ball knowledge" meant that you were meant to share knowledge like the phrase implies and not just say the name of something popular. i gave a very good fact about mario kart wii and i just looked silly!
