For women who have had breast cancer, be aware of higher risk of second breast cancers and higher risk of miss on mammography. Consider adding screening MRI, esp. if diagnosed before age 50 or with dense breasts. Contrast mammography is an option in some centers. www.ajronline.org/doi/epdf/10....

This #BreastCancerAwarenessMonth please keep perspective: of 1000 women having a screening mammogram, only about 5 will be found to have cancer, yet 10% of women will be called back for additional imaging (such as ultrasound or additional views). 95% of callbacks are NOT cancer. #OneStepAtATime
