The push to teach more wide-ranging Welsh history is excellent, but shouldn't replace wider histories. As for history teachers' fixation on Nazi Germany, US civil rights etc they're overworked, so will go where the resources are, it'll take time to build up a similar pool of Welsh history resources.

The Library is sad to hear of the death of Lord Dafydd Elis-Thomas. As an esteemed academic, an advocate for culture and heritage, and one of our foremost political figures, he made a substantial contribution to Welsh life. We extend our sincerest condolences to his family.
