Our daughter is still quite terrified of the car accident we were in last year when we totaled our car on the interstate. I'm still really grateful they walked away unscathed and Doops and I only had scratches/burns/bruises. Her little anxiety brain brings it up a lot.

Work kicked my ass today. So much walking, so many patients, so much everything.

This flu season is giving me COVID vibes again with the lack of staff, lack of supplies, and how busy/full the hospital has been.

I think for this year I'd really like to read a lot more which I honestly have been doing in the recent months. But I have a Kindle now so it makes it much easier! I already finished one book last night that I started on Christmas day.

I guess I should have been more clear about this. My CT wasn't negative however it still shows lymphadenopathy and unfortunately a "nodule" within my parotid gland that has unchanged in size over the last 2.5 months.

The CT results didn't come back as reassuring as we had hoped. Now we wait for this appointment next year to discuss what we're doing next.

I heard @blooper.bsky.social and @dooper.live had a bit of a rough year, so I decided do up a little something for them for the holidays!

Side note into my "is this cancer" list. I'm sick AGAIN. My health has just been absolute garbage the last few months. I just want this CT scan to be completed next week. This back and forth runaround bullshit is annoying.

Last weekend Lily wanted to make cookies for the new neighbors but I was sick and didn't feel like making them from scratch. Well the neighbors think we did and keep asking for a recipe but I don't have the heart to tell them it was premade.. I only added butter and eggs.

Attempted to get the repeat CT of my head and neck today but the machine went down. So next week hopefully and then decide if we need to do ANOTHER biopsy (excisional or fine needle).

The medical bills are starting to come in and pile up. Fml.

I'm so over my health for the last two plus months. Between some weird thing going on, anxiety, or just not feeling well/being sick. I can't catch a break.

Now that we have some answers but not many? I figured I'd give an update. The doc is mostly positive that I don't have lymphoma but would still like to do a repeat CT to compare to my first one. The biopsy unfortunately came back undiagnostic so that didn't give us any answers.

I saw the ENT today. The ENT wanted to do a needle aspiration biopsy so we did (my neck and ear are still numb but also sore). Then they took blood work to check for cat scratch fever and IgM levels. Hopefully in two weeks we'll have a more definitive answer and plan. Let's also hope no cancer.

Can I just say how grateful I am that the ENT could get me in on Thursday this week as a new patient.

A few weeks ago my parotid gland became super swollen and infected. I ended up missing two days of work and took like 14 days of antibiotics. The swelling went down a lot but I still have a large hard knot underneath my right ear which is starting to hurt again. I don't want to get sick again.

Has anyone dealt with ringworm with their kitties? We've had to keep Binx secluded now for two plus months with medicated wipes/baths. We deep clean the room she's in about once a week and change the bed out. But she's just not getting better. I hate keeping her isolated.

It's always hard hearing what people think or feel about you due to certain things whether it's true or not. Work hasn't been the greatest place because of this. I dread going in now because there are some jealous bullies lurking there.

Every year as a tradition I buy a Disney ornament that represents something special in our life or something we really love. Time to go hunting for one this year!

Finally after like 13 days of antibiotics (still have a little left) I'm finally feeling so much better. I still have a little lump on the side of my neck under my ear but I can move and open my mouth again.
