I asked an ICB which had refused to release info under the FoI but did not appear to have applied the public interest test for evidence of when this test was applied. This is what they said. There is, basically, no evidence. @mrosenbaum.bsky.social

Could a deal with resident doctors be on the cards? A multi-year deal might escape the Treasuty's ire but resident doctros would want certainty about some level of pay restoration.

This is a really important point: the NHS does not have money to throw at increased drug prices just because Trump views the current cost as in some way unfair.

Twice in two weeks I have had NHS bodies refusing to release details of clinical harm reviews becasue they owe a duty of confidence to some unnamed organisation (in one case, involving the supply of wheelchairs to patients). Does not inspire confidence, does it?

This is so true and I wish the government had stuck to its guns on this (while looking again at what the poorest pensioners need to have an acceptable standard of living). Poverty in the UK is so much more than a pensioner issue.

No surprise. Most of their councillors seem not to have held elected positions before and did not expect to be there. A lack of experience which is rapidly becoming obvious.

Like in any disaster, there were a hell of a lot of people making serious amounts of money out of the pandemic. And the gov was too confident that the private sector would have the answers to realise that they did not have the expertise. A scandal.

Can introducing 45m max handover times work? This - from AACE - seens to suggest they can. LAS introduced them gradually and through working with hospitals to get crews back on the road to reach the next patient. .
