Decades ago my brother and I went to a retro diner. We didnāt realize it was one of those places where the staff perform some joyless doo-wop number every hour. We were the only patrons in the place. It was excruciating. Trumpās festival on the national mall looks worse than that.

Relatedly, Trump and MAGA fully grasp that their longer term success will depend on our willingness to move on from everything they've done to our country, and directly to us. Musk as well. There cannot be any forgetting.

Musk functionally ran the US government for 6 months last year and managed to: increase spending, slash services, kill 100,000s, and help nurture both Ebola & Screwworms. Yet somehow no one mentions this when they talk about the company he is going to take public this week.

I live in NYC. The fear of being targeted by a terrorist attack is always there in the background. Every time this godforsaken wretch of a human being opens his degenerate mouth, the probability of a mass casualty event happening in the place where I raise my daughter skyrockets. God, damn him.

Time sensitive: this is the last day to submit comments opposing the Bureau of Land Management's clearcutting of Oregon's ancient forests. This is a tool that educates you on just how diabolical it is, and it helps you submit your comment.

BLM Announces Plan to Fell Oregon's Last Great Forests
There's a kind of forest in western Oregon that you feel before you understand. The BLM just gave the timber industry permission to tear it all down.

An observation I've been thinking about: Around 2020, we were told that US political & corporate elites had been gripped by "wokeness" & thus become obsessed with climate change & diversity. This wokeness was alleged to be so severe & monomaniacal that it threatened the entire culture & economy.

His not being impeached by the end of the business day as a result of this threat is as much a problem as the threat itself. Itās not just Trump that the world has to worry about, itās a GOP that supports him and Democrats who suck their thumbs and refuse to even discuss pushing to remove him

The first step to being able to win is the willingness to lose well. If you're not prepared to lose well you will usually lose badly. This is a fact that applies across so many of life's challenges.
