UU clearly very rattled - but their attempts to rubbish the island's top academics and Derry civic society aren't fooling anyone.

The fact that the BBC has made serious culpable errors does not negate the point that there is a real and concerted right-wing media campaign to destroy it. Both points can be true at the same time and the campaign would not end even if the errors did.

Just finished a section of the #Camino and have learned the power of walking in silence with friends.

At the airport in Porto and just witnessed a stand out row between two staff because one was trying to prioritise people whose flights were leaving soon. Made the half hour in the queue people watching bearable. And loved the cameraderie when they moved the Belfast gate three times.

We learned early in Ireland that it’s a Dirty War. People quote the media that fits their viewpoint - and in Ireland the media responded by creating false narratives. Why would we expect social media to be any different.

Auschwitz was at the end of a long process. It did not start from gas chambers. This hatred was gradually developed by humans. From ideas, words, stereotypes & prejudice through legal exclusion, dehumanization & escalating violence... to systematic and industrial murder. Auschwitz took time.
