I don't believe in NY resolutions, they are for cowards lacking conviction (sarcasm, dont be literal) But I do believe in setting goals for myself. And for 2026, nothing is stopping me from getting the fuck out of the north east. And making my 2nd film, and getting out into the world more.

It was sorted with radiance. Got them in 28 hours second time around. The original order has been swallowed by the vast caverns that are the royal mail dispatch centres.

Thus far, it's been hard on the festival scene. There's about 10 more to be announced, so fingers crossed for more laurels for the Last Sock You'll Ever Need (my short film). In January, pre-production starts for short film number 2.

Got a confirmation that my short film wasn't selected for a film festival, and this was a good month before the deadline. Guess they hated it.

Looking at some gigs for my birthday next year, there's one with Armand Hammer (Elucid + Billy Woods). I love their music, individually and together, but I've never been to a hip hop gig outside of a festival. What sort of vibe are we talking about here? Anyone seen either of them?

This is just a petty thing to moan about, but I am going to do it anyway. Its really annoying that barely any press screeners work with the internet browser on the fire stick. Then again, its amazon, so of course its shitty. I have four for soho horror to do and not one worked.

Enjoyed this one plenty, but it made me want to finally get around to watching clearcut. Did it have a UK blu-ray? I thought it did, but I can find no sign of it ever existing.

Manthan is an amazing film, and the funding of it, the sense of ownership the dairy farmers who paid for it had over the film, the collective impact it had, it's all like a fairy tale from another dimension, given the bleak situation that indie cinema in India finds itself in today...

It is brilliant though, or is it brilliantly stupid? Either way, I enjoyed myself way more than I expected to.

#nw Prince of Darkness (1987) for a podcast recording later. I know full well how unpopular an opinion this is, but it is one of my favourite Carpenter movies. Mainly as it falls in a favourite horror genre, "sciencing spooky shit", you could call it sci-fi horror but it doesn't capture the vibe.

Finally updated to windows 11 and i hate it. Left it as long as possible, and yeah... Its the typical brand of microsoft shit.

I think if social media just shut down and displayed this image from say midnight to 6am, we’d all have better lives.

I was going to go to Celluloid Screams this year. But an airbnb cancelled on me. Then, yesterday, my hotel cancelled on me. I guess it's just not meant to be - this year anyway. Too late to book anywhere else now without being price gouged. Frustrating as hell.
